The kids

One day we will have chickens and maybe a goat and probably some bunnies but for right now we have two dogs and a cat at our little homestead. I’d say they have it made out here. They get to be outside with us all of the time (no, they don’tΒ try to run away) and live the laid back country lifestyle!

Roxy is our 9-year-old pit bull mix and she has been a part of our family since a pup of 8 weeks old. She enjoys napping, pretending she’s a lap dog, following her dad around and eating bees (even though she is allergic) and being spoiled. Favorite foods include popcorn, broccoli, and cheese puffs.

Maxx is a 15 pound ball of love that has been a part of our family since October 2014. We adopted him when he was 4 years old and he turned nine in November. He fit into our family from day one. His best friend is definitely Roxy and they enjoy walking outside together and eating grass, as well as laying in the sun. He is a cuddle monster and always wants to be brushed, petted or cuddled. We love having him & also appreciate that he keeps the mice away!

Our feisty chihuahua Maggie turned 11 this January and has been a part of our family for nine years. I adopted her when she was a year old and we have been inseparable ever since. As Maggie is now a senior citizen, she loves taking naps and laying outside in the sun. She is always up for a walk or sitting on someone’s lap. She loves her siblings but would prefer Maxx stay as far away from her as possible. Favorite foods include literally anything that falls onto the floor – we have to be careful!

We love our fur family and are so thankful they get to enjoy our home as much as we do.
